Love Quote # 148
Nursing Home Love
He walks in to her room
She is sitting there,
Looking so beautiful
In her favourite chair
They walk down the hall
He holds her hand,
She moves a little slower
He understands
The dinner table is set nicely
He pulls out her chair,
She sits down gracefully
The evening to share
They smile at each other
Love in their eyes,
Sometimes they laugh
Sometimes they cry
The meal was delightful
The evening did pass,
One last toast to each other
They empty their glass
He helps her from the table
A short walk down the hall,
His hand around her waist
Don't want her to fall
He tucks her in gently
One kiss good night,
Her eyes look tired
He shuts off the light
The night staff are all smiles
They hear his cane tap the floor,
He bids them good night
Walks out the door
He will be back tomorrow
As soon as he can,
She is his lady
He is her man.
