Love Poem # 279
I Love You
In the folds of icy sheets
Lies the warmth of your love's fire,
The beauty you care most for,
Your heart and heart's desire.
Without reason or intent,
What happened you can't explain;
The friendship you once had
Has become a lover's flame.
Never a wrong word spoken,
What is said is said from the heart.
Never will I leave your side,
Never shall we part.
The two of us were made as one,
We echo each other's soul.
I spent a life in search of you,
I need you to make me whole.
The love we share is endless.
Our trust and our devotion,
Will guide our way for now and ever
Through temper and emotion.
You'll never know quite how much I adore
Every part of you more each day.
A simple fact these lines can't tell
Is I love you more than words can say.
